Asia, a promising market for the wine industry According to the report, the Asian wine market will grow approximately 25% by 2013 to 1.3 million liters. Estimates for 2011 forecast that Asia and Pacific will already be buying wines for a value of 4.3 billion euros. Red wine is particularly popular in Asia. Today, United Kingdom, China and Japan are the leading destination markets for over 33 million bottles of wine, 70% of which are red. When the wine markets of Thailand, Singapore and Korea are added, the total market is likely to reach 108 billion euros by 2012. ICA Expo 2012 promises to be the gateway to United Kingdom and the Asian continent for co-operatives wine producers. Thanks for the efforts of co-operatives organizations who wish to showcase the high quality wine production, ICA Expo has identified potential Asian buyers who have already confirmed their participation in Manchester, United Kingdom.
